Please read this Privacy Policy, together with our Terms and Conditions, before using the Sites, as it explains how we collect, store, use and disclose your Personal Information when you use the Sites and any data collection we perform offline. If any term in this Privacy Policy is unacceptable to you, please do not use the Services or provide any Personal Information to us.

Personal Information” as used in this Privacy Policy means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, or as defined under Applicable Data Privacy Laws (as defined below).

The term "Company", "we", "us", and "our" in this Privacy Policy refers to Guardforce AI Singapore Pte. Ltd. This term "User" or "you" in this Privacy Policy refers to you.

The term "Applicable Data Privacy Laws" means the data privacy laws applicable to the processing in connection with the Services, including, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Union ("GDPR") (all as amended from time to time). Therefore, if you are located in the EU, DVGO (as defined below) will process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and you may have additional rights under the GDPR.

Should there be any conflict, contradiction, or discrepancy between the English version of this Privacy Policy and any translated version, the English version shall prevail.

1.Introduction

For purposes of the Applicable Data Privacy Laws, DVGO is the “Controller” of your personal information, being the owner and operator of the website located at [https://www.deepvoyage.ai]. “DVGO” means the Sites and/or mobile application operated by the Company. “Service” means all content included on the Sites, including information, data, software, photographs, graphs, videos, typefaces, graphics, and other materials.

By using the Sites, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy as may be amended by us from time to time, save that we will ask you separately, when you provide us with your details whether you consent to receiving promotional communications from us, and also third party providers of goods and services with whom we may share your details, and you consent to the practices described herein with respect to the Company’s collection, use, store and disclosure of the information provided by you to us.

We commit to comply with the Applicable Data Privacy Laws. Your personal information may also be processed or transferred by us to other members of our group of companies, our affiliates, our agents and third parties providing services to us in jurisdictions outside of Delaware. In this event, we will comply with the terms of the Applicable Data Privacy Laws which ensure that your personal data is only transferred to such jurisdictions which comply with the various adequacy requirements for data protection as set out in the Applicable Data Privacy Laws or as otherwise authorized under the Applicable Data Privacy Laws.

2.Information We Collect About You

We use the information we collect about you for a variety of purposes, as outlined below, including measuring the usage of our services, improving our offerings, and tailoring our services to your needs. While you are not required to provide your Personal Information, please note that if you choose to withhold certain information, we may be unable to provide you with specific services, functions, or features.

Interaction information

When you interact with the Site, we collect certain information to ensure security, authenticate your identity, and improve your experience. Examples include:

  • a. Login details - when you log in to our AI chatbox to engage in conversations, we will collect information such as your email IP address, and device information;
  • b. Marketing event information - upon your participation in marketing events convened on the Site, the Company may collect all data inputted by you through links, electronic forms, or any other data submission modalities;

Account information

If you decide to create an account or enquire about one of our Services, we will ask you to provide us with some specific information. Examples include:

  • c. Basic personal details - such as name, title and date of birth;
  • d. Personal contact details - such as home address, delivery address, home phone number, mobile phone number, WhatsApp account and email address;
  • e. Log in details - you can sign up for DVGO using your email and a password you created with DVGO. If you choose to sign in with a third-party such as Google, Meta and X, DVGO will redirect you to the respective third-party’s login page. Upon successful login, the third-party, with the consent they obtained from you in accordance with their terms of services and policy policies, may grant us access to your account information which may include your username, profile picture, email, and third-party account ID. We may use, store and disclose this information to authenticate your identity and to communicate with you about product updates and account changes in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • f. Payment details - such as your bank account and payment card information.

Information we obtain through cookies and similar tools

We use cookies (and similar technologies) and analytics tools across our Sites to collect information about you. Examples include:

  • a. Your location - we use cookies to display the version of the Site that is most relevant to your location. For example, if you log in to the Site from the US, you will be shown a US version of the Site.

    To advertiser: When you click on or interact with an advertisement, there is a possibility that the advertiser may place a cookie in your browser if your attributes meet the criteria selected by the advertiser.

    To professional advisors: We may disclose personal information to professional advisors, including lawyers, auditors, bankers, and insurers, when necessary to facilitate the professional services they provide to us.

    To any other parties with your consent: you may withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe option in any email you receive, or by contacting us using the details provided in Section 18 Contact Information in this Privacy Policy.

Under Applicable Data Privacy Laws, you may have rights as an individual in relation to the Personal Information we hold about you. These rights include, but are not limited to:

We will respond to requests consistent with Applicable Data Privacy Laws. In addition, residents of some states may have other rights including the right to lodge a complaint with its designated Supervisory Authority. Please refer to guidance provided by your relevant Supervisory Authority for further information.

8.Deactivating Account

If you have created an account on the Sites and registered your Personal Information with us, you can deactivate your account at any time. Once deactivated, your account will be permanently suspended, preventing anyone from using that account identifier again to avoid impersonation.

9.Retention of Personal Information

We may retain the Perosnal Information we collect about you for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. When determining the appropriate retention period for Personal Information, we consider several factors, including:

  • the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information;

  • the potential risks associated with unauthorized use or disclosure;

  • the purposes for which we obtained the information and whether those purposes can be achieved through alternative means; and

After the termination or deactivation of your account, we may retain your information and content for a commercially reasonable period for backup, archival, and audit purposes.

If we receive requests to delete or remove your information, please note that it may still persist in backup copies maintained for system restoration purposes. Typically, this retention lasts for seven (7) years or as otherwise prescribed by local laws. Backup and restoration copies will be deleted earlier if it is technologically feasible and allowed or required by retention policies or local laws.
