I was injured after a fall, collision, or cut while travelling in China. What should I do?

This page helps you choose a help and care path in China based on how urgent an injury may be after a fall, collision, or cut. Vous pouvez commencer par consulter ce guide. Si vous avez besoin d’une aide supplémentaire, veuillez nous contacter.

Critical: get emergency help now

  • For loss of consciousness, abnormal breathing, severe bleeding, or a suspected serious injury, call 120 and give your exact location, injury details, and a contact number.
  • While waiting for help, follow the dispatcher’s instructions; do not move the injured person unless there is immediate danger at the scene.

Urgent: go to the emergency department soon

  • For significant pain, swelling, or difficulty moving without the critical signs above, go to a hospital emergency department promptly for a professional assessment.
  • Tell the receiving staff when and how the injury happened, plus any known allergies and medicines currently in use.

Less urgent: confirm an outpatient path

  • For a minor scrape or mild sprain with no immediate danger, contact an outpatient clinic or medical provider to confirm the appropriate care path.
  • If the situation changes or worsens, stop waiting and use the urgent care path.
